Sustainable Calendar Printing

Team Calendars is part of the sustinable, award-winning, family firm Whitehall Printing.

We use FSC-certified papers as standard to produce all our calendar leaves. We use partially recycled board to produce our calendar front and back covers.

We aim to continually reduce our emissions with electric vehicles, waste management and renewable energy.  Any emissions that can not be reduced to zero are balanced by Whitehall Printing through investment in environmental projects around the world.

  • FSC-certified for the last 15 years (licence No. C009453)
  • Accredited with the ISO 14001 [2015] Environmental Standard
  • A printworks run on 100% renewable energy
  • A Carbon Neutral company, supporting climate change projects

Why is FSC important?

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is the world's most respected forest certification system, ensuring that forests are managed to benefit biological diversity, wildlife, local people and workers.

Since 2010, we have been part of a transparent supply chain leading from the calendar you receive all the way back to the forest in which the paper was grown.

When you order our calendars and other products printed on FSC paper, you increase demand for sustainable forests and afforestation (planting forests where there were none before).

Calendar Recycling

We recycle 100% of our paper off-cuts, test sheets and overs through a specialist paper recycler.

We encourage our customers to do the same when their calendars are not longer needed.  Did you know that paper can be recycled up to 7 times?

How do I recycle my calendar?

  • Wire is recycled by many UK councils via domestic metal recycling (kerb side collection). It is easiest to remove the coil by cutting the paper away with scissors. You could also repurpose the wire as gardening ties or to hang pictures!
  • Paper is the most recycled product in the world through both office and domestic recycling schemes. Recycling 1 tonne of paper saves 7000 gallons of water and 17 trees!
  • Brown backing-board card is widely recycled in both commercial and domestic settings.
