A group of friends who bonded through breast cancer treatment have been nominated for a national award for their cheeky naked wall calendar. When Sally Smart was forced to take a break from her career as a wedding photographer, she turned her talents to her ‘Breast Friends’ in a series of fun, creative photoshoots.
Sally chose 12 vibrant and joyful images of fearless women, aged between 29 and 65, and wearing nothing but big smiles!

The team at Team Calendars were thrilled to be chosen to print and produce the charity calendar in 2023. Our online calendar creator tool gave Sally the freedom to make a really standout product, showing her professional photographs at their very best.
“I researched all sorts of printing companies but yours was the most cost effective, you sent samples and your blank templates allowed me to be creative with my content.”
The printed calendar received huge support from the local community but really gained traction when it was picked up by morning television and national media. Sales rocketed and, to date, the calendar has raised over £30,000! The funds will go to Glan Clwyd Cancer Unit, where each of the women were treated.
The celebrated calendar is now nominated for the Just Giving 2024 award for ‘Creative Fundraising’, which recognises great ideas in the face of adversity.

“Once more I have lost all my wedding photography business as I face chemotherapy and immunotherapy once more, but this has given me a focus during treatment. If I am well enough, I hope to attend the glitzy awards ceremony in London in September.”
